Strategy — Pacific Union
Opening (rounds 1–10)
Early is sea and trade nodes: harbour, scouting, credible landing threats. Keep the land front thin until the economy spikes. Roads on islands and isthmuses are critical—no grid, no trunk bonus.
Mid-game (rounds 10–25)
By mid-game you should set coastal tempo. Parallel-track Economic 3+ and science or you will not reach econ/tech wins. Watch stability—double fronts love unrest.
Late game (25+)
Late game is blockades, rear landings, and securing your own ports. Military wins often come from supply breaks, not one central set-piece battle.
Counter-factions
Strong versus continental powers that under-invest in fleets (parts of Eurasia, harbour-light South America). Weak in naval mirrors versus Americas and pure African land rushes if the sea never matters.
