Cyber Operations Unit
Combat role
Non-combat specialist — zero direct damage; disrupts cities and severs road infrastructure.
Lore
The Cyber Operations Unit rides in unmarked vans and carries nothing that shoots. Its cargo is a mobile intrusion suite, a mast of directional antennas, and specialists who think of a city not as streets and buildings but as substations, traffic controllers, water pressure, and payroll systems — all of it reachable, all of it fragile.
They work close because the Fracture taught everyone to cut their critical systems off from the wider net; what cannot be reached from across an ocean can still be reached from across a street. A successful operation announces itself gently: trams stop, logistics dashboards freeze, a garrison discovers its resupply requests are routing to nowhere.
No faction publishes its cyber doctrine. All eight fund it ahead of armor. Read into that what the general staffs already have.
When to use
Slip a Cyber Unit up to enemy cities and road links to disrupt production and logistics before an offensive. It deals zero damage and cannot defend itself, so always move it behind a combat screen.
