UNCLAS // STRAT-BRIEF

Strategy — Chinese Harmony

Chinese Harmony

Opening (rounds 1–10)

Tighten a production + science core: disciplined research waves and orderly roads pay off. Do not spend AP on skirmishes unless they secure a resource node or a city.

Mid-game (rounds 10–25)

Mid-game is chokepoints plus diversified income (city + trunk + harvest). If landlocked pressure mounts, find a sea outlet or a diplomatic lever.

Late game (25+)

Late you either close the tech/econ timer or convert science into elite units for a final push. Do not leave empty border segments—cavalry will punish gaps.

Counter-factions

Strong versus factions without an early science_5 plan (parts of Africa, short-econ South America): FortressGuards on the border make every raid a losing trade while your stability bank outlasts their tempo. Against Eurasia, do not compete on patience—theirs is cheaper; win through science and one contested node per cycle. Weak into Pacific naval pincers (AssaultCraft hits coastline FortressGuards cannot reach—build a fleet before you need it) and into European economic mirrors on tight maps, where their grid bonus scales faster than your integration.
