UNCLAS // STRAT-BRIEF

African Coalition

Every turn is an opening move. Use it.

Origins

Brief: Sahelian, East African, and Southern blocs merged around mobility — shared transit, fuel pools, and matched road gauges let trucks and light units cross old borders without friction.

Ideology

Tempo is the only scorecard: fortifications slow you; long integration slows you. Control the pace of the war and consolidation follows reach — not the other way around.

Strategic identity

+1 AP every turn before city/tech modifiers; Desert Cavalry (move 3, sight 4, military_1; BAL-001) threatens cities early. Overextend and raiding income collapses before the military edge pays off.

Iconic units

  • Swift Raider Move-3 cavalry (sight 4) at military_1 — strike before enemies entrench; hit-and-run after melee if the target survives.
  • Main Battle Tank Medium armor anchors the perimeter after cavalry raids while integration finishes.
  • Cyber Operations Unit Zero-damage specialist that disrupts income and severs highway links against economic racers.

Notable cities

  • LagosWestern commercial anchor feeding interior corridors.
  • NairobiEastern staging node with the Coalition's fastest logistics relay.
  • JohannesburgIndustrial start-state engine for early science and money.

Leaders

Amadou Diarra's ground — a turquoise oasis river running between temple ruins and flowering banks

Amadou Diarra

Former humanitarian corridor coordinator turned Coalition military planner.

Introduced the 'four nodes per day' standard — a measurable supply rhythm instead of abstract aggression. Defining act: sustained an offensive when two allies nearly declared war over fuel priority; rerouted flows so both kept positive 'tempo' scores.

“We do not outrun the enemy. We end the turn before they lose trust in their own map.”

Active conflicts

  • Early-Capture CapitalismCurrent state

Some push farther, others integrate what's taken; the 'raid vs state' storyline.

The early-capture income bonus pits field commanders against civil administrators.

  • Desert vs DeltaCurrent state

The Coalition sometimes loses balance; internal factions trade action points as currency.

Desert corridors and humid deltas demand different machines and allies.

Iconic moments

  • 2037 / Raid 48 Hours Before Integration · Rival perimeter

A SwiftRaider broke a perimeter two ticks before rival integration completed.

Proof that windows are about ordering, not radius.

  • Shared Fuel Depot · Border of three ex-states

A shared bladder saved the campaign and spawned legal hell over milliliters of sovereignty.

Logistics officially became a diplomatic tool.

  • Day of Silence · Disputed highway tile

A sanctioned no-fire pause to build a road through a disputed tile.

The Coalition first publicly called engineering 'an armistice weapon.'
